Electricity and gas prices in Hungary from August 2022

The war and sanctions in Brussels have triggered an energy crisis across Europe, leading to a dramatic increase in market prices for energy. The Hungarian government has largely maintained the energy price reductions that have been in place for ten years. According to the company's own information, around 25% of households will be affected by the increases.
